Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about government jobs in India, how our platform works, and how to make the most of your job search.

1What is All Government Alerts?

All Government Alerts is a free informational platform dedicated to India's government job seekers. We aggregate and publish the latest Sarkari Naukri notifications, exam results, admit cards, syllabus details, and previous year question papers from official government sources across India. Our goal is to ensure that every job aspirant receives timely and accurate government job updates in one place.

2How do I apply for a government job listed on your website?

All Government Alerts is an informational platform — we do not accept applications directly. To apply for any government job, click the 'Apply Online' or 'Official Website' link provided in the job listing. This will redirect you to the official recruitment portal where you can complete your application. Make sure to read the full official notification before applying to understand eligibility, exam pattern, and fee requirements.

3What types of government jobs are covered on this website?

We cover a comprehensive range of government jobs including: Central Government jobs (UPSC, SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS, Railways/RRB, IBPS, Bank PO/Clerk, NTA, Defence), State Government jobs (State PSC exams, State Police, State Teaching jobs), Teaching and Education jobs (TET, CTET, KVS, NVS), Defence and Police (Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, CISF, BSF, CRPF), and many more across all departments and states.

4How do I know if I am eligible for a government job?

Eligibility for government jobs typically depends on several factors: Age (each post has a minimum and maximum age limit, with relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen), Educational Qualification (varies from 10th pass to Postgraduate degree), Nationality (must be a citizen of India for most posts), and Physical Standards (for defence and police posts). Always refer to the official notification for exact eligibility criteria, as these vary for each recruitment.

5What does 'Last Date to Apply' mean?

The 'Last Date to Apply' is the deadline by which you must submit your online application on the official recruitment portal. Applications submitted after this date are not accepted. We strongly recommend applying well before the last date to avoid technical issues on the official portal, especially as traffic spikes near deadlines. Some vacancies also have an 'Application Fee Payment Last Date' which may differ from the form submission deadline.

6How do I download my admit card / hall ticket?

Admit cards (also called hall tickets) are released by the recruiting body on their official portal before the examination. When an admit card is released, we publish it in our 'Admit Cards' section with a direct link to the official download page. To download your admit card, click the link on our website, which will take you to the official portal where you can log in using your registration number and date of birth to download and print your admit card.

7How do I check my government exam result?

When exam results are officially declared, we publish them in our 'Results' section with a direct link to the official result page. Click on the result listing relevant to your exam to be redirected to the official portal. Results are typically displayed as PDFs containing roll numbers of selected/qualified candidates, or as individual scorecards that you can access by entering your roll number and date of birth.

8What is a Sarkari Naukri?

Sarkari Naukri is a Hindi term meaning 'government job.' In India, government jobs are highly desirable because they offer job security, stable salary, pension benefits, healthcare, housing allowances, and social prestige. They include jobs at the central government level (like IAS, IPS, IFS through UPSC), state government level (through State PSCs), and in public sector undertakings (PSUs).

9What is the difference between UPSC, SSC, and IBPS?

These are three major recruitment bodies in India: UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts the Civil Services Examination for IAS, IPS, IFS and other Group A services. SSC (Staff Selection Commission) recruits staff for various posts in Central Government ministries and departments (CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD Constable etc.). IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) conducts common recruitment exams for officers and clerks in public sector banks (PO, Clerk, SO, RRB).

10What is an OBC/SC/ST reservation in government jobs?

The Indian government provides reservation (quota) in government jobs for certain categories to promote social equality. SC (Scheduled Caste) get 15% reservation, ST (Scheduled Tribe) get 7.5%, OBC (Other Backward Classes) get 27%, and EWS (Economically Weaker Section) get 10% of total vacancies. Reserved category candidates also get relaxation in age limit (usually 3–5 years for OBC and 5–10 years for SC/ST) and application fee waivers in many recruitments.

11How can I prepare for government competitive exams?

Effective preparation for government exams involves: Understanding the Syllabus (available in our Syllabus section), Solving Previous Year Papers (available in our Previous Papers section), Regular Current Affairs reading (newspapers, monthly magazines), Practising Mock Tests online, and Time-bound study of subjects like General Knowledge, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English. Consistency and the right study materials are key to cracking competitive exams.

12Are the jobs listed on your website genuine?

Yes. Every job notification published on All Government Alerts is sourced directly from official government websites, official recruitment board portals, and authentic government press releases. We verify each notification before publishing. We also include direct links to the official source so you can independently verify every listing. New job notifications, results, and admit card releases are published as soon as they become available on official channels.
